The Village Garden Club was founded in 1974 by a small group of women with fresh ideas and much enthusiasm. Now, 34 years later we have a strong membership of 400, each contributing and sharing their own unique talents. We meet in La Jolla, California, which is located in San Diego County. Our club is one of the most dynamic in the Palomar District, providing an outstanding schedule of programs, field trips, workshops and other activities throughout the year. The club's objectives continue to guide us in planning projects and programs.

The Spindrifter, our monthly newsletter, contains a wealth of information about upcoming and ongoing events for our club and helps to keep all members informed , even if they are unable to attend meetings.
The Yearbook is published once a year and is ready for distribution at the first meeting in September. Every member receives a yearbook as it contains everything you need or want to know about the club. Included in the yearbook:
* Club officers
* Standing committee chairmen
* Meeting dates, times and programs
* Club projects
* District, State and National Garden Club information
* Bylaws for the club
We meet on the 4th Thursday of each month, September through May
(November and December - dates may vary)
Time: 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. - Social hour with refreshments
10:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. - Business Meeting
10:30 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. - Program
workshops, flower shows, etc.
